DeepVeer had two separate wedding ceremonies so as to account for the sensibilities of both sides. So, they had a Manglorean styled wedding on day 1, followed by a Sindhi-Punjabi ceremony on day 2 to include the rituals of the groom’s side. Needless to say, on both days, Deepika looked heart-breakingly gorgeous. But the Kannadiga beauty’s love for heirloom Kanchipuram weave was undisguised as she shone in a rust orange – red shaded Kanjivaram ensemble.

Deepika proved this so beautifully as she adorned herself in a stunning golden, embellishment free glistening Kanjivaram saree – gifted by her mom Ujjwala Padukone. The radiant newly wedding bride shone as she stood smiling and laughing, evidently besotted with her love Ranveer – for her Bengaluru wedding reception on 21st November.

Overall, it’s evident that Indian handlooms, weaves and artistry are and will always triumph. Banarasi, Kanjeevaram, Lucknowi chikankari featured heavily in Deepika’s wedding and bridal wardrobe and so have they in many other celebrities’ and high profile brides’ bridal picks, including Anushka Sharma – the Bollywood bride of 2017.
